About Us

Where children play, learn, explore and connect with nature!

Trees and Seas Outdoor Adventures was founded in 2019 to help children and families in and around the EH16/17 area of Edinburgh to connect with nature and their local green spaces.

Trees and Seas Outdoor Adventure believe that children learn best through hands-on learning and thrive through free play and exploration with guidance and nurture from supporting adults. We have a strong commitment to the Children’s Rights UNCRC, environmental sustainability and to build on the Nature Connection philosophy!

Our Team

I’ve had a love for the outdoors for as long as I can remember, as a young child I spent most of my time outdoors and making memories.

Jill Founder

Jill founded Trees & Seas in late 2019.
Having always had a passion for the outdoors, Jill recognised early in her career the benefit outdoor learning can have on child’s development and mental health.

After gaining her Forest School and Beach School qualifications, and while working on various outdoor learning projects in Edinburgh, Jill decided to go it alone and help her local community to connect with nature.

I love working at Trees and Seas to promote children’s health and well-being.  I love the way it brings all the children together.

Tiegan – Trainee Forest School Assistant

Tiegan is currently working part-time at Trees & Seas while studying Childcare and Education.

Tiegan is a kind and caring individual who has a good understanding of young people, she shows a great awareness of the challenges young people face while growing up. Tiegan believes that being in nature reduces stress and anxiety for all.

Tiegan has started her Forest School training and will also be undertaking her Outdoor First Aid.
